Defensive Pistol 1

Defensive Pistol 1 builds on the fundamentals of shooting and incorporates many skills necessary to carrying a handgun or using one in self defense.  DP1 benefits both novice and experienced shooters. Class incorporates additional aspects of shooting and emphasizes improved weapons handling, increased speed and improved  accuracy.  Training incorporates specific tasks such as the draw, multiple target engagements, target transitions, use of cover/concealment, and basic movement. A major goal is to develop skills that allow you to focus on the tasks at hand while the marksmanship becomes second nature. Students should already have a firm understanding of firearms safety and the fundamentals of shooting.  If you are a new gun owner, sign up for Basic Pistol first.  The class lasts at 6-8 hours and the cost is $165. Class requires a minimum of 500 rounds of ammunition (you may not use it all), quality strong side holster designed specifically for your gun (Kydex preferred. No Appendix holsters, No cross draw, No small of the back, No ankle and No nylon holsters allowed), 2 or more magazines and at least 1 magazine pouch.  Bring lunch, water and a chair.

Cancelation policy: Full refund (minus 10% processing fee) if you cancel more than 30 days before the course.  50% refund if you cancel between 30 and 15 days of the course.  No refunds issued within 2 weeks of the course.
